The Liberty-Chambers Counties Community Supervision and Corrections Department currently has a number of special programs in place.  

The department has three substance abuse caseloads in which offenders who have substance abuse issues or problems are supervised by officers specially trained in dealing with such offenders.  The department also has two sex offender caseloads in which the officers have specialized training in dealing with offenders who are on probation for sex offenses.

The department also participates along with other law enforcement agencies in Liberty and Chambers Counties in the Sex Offender Location Unit (SOLO).   Officers from the probation department along with other officials regularily visit sex offenders at their homes and elsewhere to insure compliance with probation conditions and State Sex Offender Registration Laws. 

The Department also operates a Child Support or civil probation unit.  In this program, offenders who are delinquent on child support are placed on probation and supervised by an officer of the department who monitors payment of child support and also other probation conditions.
